Beacons are small devices that use Bluetooth technology to transmit signals to nearby smartphones or other compatible devices.

For example, a beacon can be placed at a specific location in a store, and when a customer with a compatible device comes within range, the beacon will transmit a signal to the device. This signal can trigger a notification or provide information about nearby products or promotions. You can use this to provide a more personalized experience for customers.

You can embed Beacons into your cards. When a customer’s device is within range of the Beacon you set, the specific lock screen message you set will show up on Apple devices.

To get started, head to your pass dashboard and click on "Designs." Then, select "Settings" and click on "Beacons." This is where you can add beacons to your cards.

Click on “add beacons”

Here, you can add your name, UUID, major and minor. UUID is a unique identifier that enables devices to determine which beacons to interact with based on their UUID. Major and minor are numbers that help to identify specific beacons within a group.

You can add a message that will display when a recognised beacon is detected. This can be used to convey special offers in a section, or other promotional content. When you are done, click on “Add”.

You beacons can also be managed via the Assets Page in account settings.

Click on the menu at the top right of the page, select 'Assets', and click on the 'Beacons Tab'.

From here you can add new beacons, edit beacons and delete any unwanted beacons.

Once you have added a beacon to your account, it is saved for use across any project.

By following these simple steps, you can easily add a beacon to your pass. Learn more about beacons here:
