To enable your pass template for Google Pay, PassKit does this on your behalf. This is because, when PassKit released CherryPie in 2015, the Google Pay templates were not finalised (and in a state of flux).  Google now has a consistent standard and pass design that looks great in the Google Pay app.

By manually enabling your pass template for Google Pay, PassKit also ensures your template is set up to get the best out of the latest Google Pay Pass functionality.

Once your template is enabled for Google Pay, PassKit will automatically detect the device your customer is using and present the correctly formatted pass. i.e. an Apple Wallet Pass for iOS users, and a Google Pay Wallet Pass for Android users.

If you need to enable your template for Google Pay please follow these instructions:

1: Your API Key

2: The campaign name

3: The template name

4: The URL of the images you want to display on the Google Pay Passes.

You can easily get the URL of the image by clicking on the image in your asset view; the image will open in a new browser window/tab.  Alternatively, right click on the image in your asset view and select 'Copy Link Address'.
This is the link (URL) you need to share with PassKit.

Once enabled, when your Android owning customers visit your Pass URL they will be able to add their pass to Google Pay.
