Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes offer customisation options for colours, allowing you to tailor the appearance of your passes to match your brand or personal preferences.

Terminology

Colour Palette:

The colour palette refers to a set of colors that can be used to customize the appearance of a digital pass.

HEX/RGB Values:

These are two different ways to represent colors in digital systems

  • HEX (Hexadecimal) Values - Example #FF0000

  • RGB (Red, Green, Blue) Values - Example rgb(255, 0, 0)

Background Colour:

This is the colour that fills the main part of the pass area

Label Text Colour:

This is represents the colour of the field label.

Value Text Colour:

This is represents the colour of the field value text.

If you're using Google Wallet, you only need to provide one colour value and Google will apply a theme for you.

However, with Apple Wallet, you can choose the background colour, label text colour, and value text colour to create a custom theme that suits your needs.

Google Wallet Colours

Click on the Google icon in the left menu and click on the theme icon.

Now select the background colour using the colour palette, or adding the HEX/RGB values directly.

Click 'Done" when finished.

Apple Wallet Colours

Click on the Apple icon in the left menu and click on the theme icon.

Now select the background colour using the colour palette, or adding the HEX/RGB values directly.

Changing the background colour will affect both Apple and Google designs

Repeat this process for the Label and Text colours and click "Done' when finished. Make sure to click the save icon to save your changes.
