Using your own Smart Tap enabled terminal
To set up your smart tap POS to accept rotating barcodes on Google Wallet passes, you'll need to ensure your POS system is compatible with rotating barcodes and that the passes are correctly configured. Here's a general outline of the process:
Ensure POS System Compatibility:
Check with your POS vendor: Verify if your POS system supports scanning rotating barcodes. This is a relatively new feature, so not all systems might have it yet.
Software updates: If your POS system supports it, ensure you have the latest software updates installed, as this may be required for rotating barcode compatibility.
Configuration Settings:
Access settings: Navigate to the settings or configuration menu within the POS software.
Barcode reader settings: Locate the specific settings related to the barcode reader.
Enable rotating barcode support: Look for an option to enable or activate support for rotating barcodes. This might be a specific checkbox or setting within the barcode reader configuration.
Check with your Terminal/POS provider to confirm the settings required and how to access the settings for your specific equipment
