Requirements:

  • A Zapier Account - some zaps may require premium apps which require a paid subscription to Zapier

  • A PassKit Account

  • Log in details for the platform/app you are integrating with

Zap templates are ready-made Zaps, which come with both a trigger and an action to help kickstart your automation.

These templates can be discovered on your Zapier Dashboard, within the Zapier Explore section, on the Zapier blog, and on the integration page with Zapier within PassKit.

In this Article we will show you how to use the pre-built template suggested in the integration section within PassKit.

Important Note: If you integrate a draft project, you'll need to recreate the integration when moving to a live project.

  1. To begin with navigate to the Zapier integration page within PassKit

    • First click on the project you wish to integrate with Zapier

    • Next click on Settings at the top of the page from the toolbar

    • Then select integrations from the options provided, depending on the project the integrations may vary but Zapier will be listed, click Zapier to continue

    • If you haven't already integrated with Zapier you will need to log in, you should see a screen similar to below after logging

  2. Fill in the details for the trigger of the pre-built integration you would like to use

    • Select the integration you would like to build, in this example I have selected "Enroll PassKit members for new Google Sheets rows"

    • Next you will need to log into the software you are integrating and click continue

    • Then you will need to fill out the details of the trigger and click continue, for this example you will be selecting the Spreadsheet and the Worksheet

    • Lastly you need to test that the trigger is working, if all works as intended you should get a record to use as test data

  3. Fill in the details for the action steps of the pre-built integration you would like to use, there may be multiple depending on the template you select

    • Click on the action step to log into the software you are integrating with and click continue

    • Then you will need to fill out the details of the action and click continue, for this example you will be selecting the Program and the Tier to enrol the member on as well as the details of the member

    • Lastly after adding the data required for the action, you need to test that the action has triggered. If there are no problems you should receive a successful response as shown before

    • If there are no more actions in the template you can publish the Zap to have the integration go live, otherwise repeat step 3 for as many actions as there are in the template

  4. Publish the Zap and close the pop-up Zapier screen in PassKit, you should see the integration you just published in your PassKit Zaps

You have now successfully set up a pre-built zap in PassKit.
