This article explains how to find your PassKit username. You'll need your username to reset your password, as our system uses usernames for this process, not email addresses.

Terminology

PassKit Username:

The unique identifier used to log in to your PassKit account.

PassKit Portal:

The online platform where users access and manage their PassKit services.

Password Reset:

The process of creating a new password for your account.

Welcome Email:

The email sent to new users upon account creation, containing important information like the username.

Support Team:

The PassKit team that provides assistance to users.

Verification:

The process of confirming a user's identity for security purposes.

Account Security:

Measures taken to protect user accounts from unauthorised access.

"Forgot Password" Link:

The link on the login page used to initiate the password reset process.

Why do we use usernames for password resets instead of email addresses?

We use usernames for password resets as an extra layer of security. If someone gains access to your email account, they could potentially try to reset your PassKit password. Requiring the username in addition to the email address makes it significantly harder for unauthorised access, even if your email is compromised. This helps protect your PassKit account.

How to find your username:

Your PassKit username can be found in a couple of places:

Within the PassKit Portal:

After logging in, look at the top right corner of the portal. Your username is displayed there.

Welcome Email:

When you first signed up for PassKit, we sent you a welcome email. This email contains your username. Please check your inbox (and spam or junk folders) for this email. Search for the subject line "Welcome to PassKit".

Contact Support (If you can't find it):

If you're unable to locate your username using the methods above, the quickest way to retrieve it is to reach out to our support team. You can do this by submitting a request through our chat function or by emailing us directly at support@passkit.com.

  • Provide Verification:

    To ensure account security, we'll ask you to provide some information to verify your identity. This might include the email address associated with your PassKit account, or other details you provided when you signed up.

  • Receive Your Username:

    Once we've verified your information, we'll promptly provide you with your PassKit username.

What to do once you have your username:

Once you have your username, you can proceed with resetting your password by following the usual password reset process on our website. You'll find the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.

Enter your username when prompted, and you'll receive instructions via email on how to create a new password.
