This article will show you how to upload a CSV file to the portal to create SmartPass links for Coupons.

Generating SmartPass links costs you nothing, and allows you create personalised Apple Wallet and Google Pay passes without needing to use the PassKit API.

Uploading your SmartPass link CSV is very similar to importing members from a CSV, but in this process a unique URL for each coupon is generated and returned containing the coupon data encrypted for privacy.

The coupon is only created when the user clicks on their link, making this an efficient way of issuing coupons.

The maximum size CSV file which can be uploaded is 4mb. To import data more that 4mb please split the CSV files into smaller files.

Step 1 - Open the SmartPass Links page

First, navigate to Program Settings >> SmartPass Links

Select the offer to use for the SmartPass Links

Step 2 - Open the CSV upload pop up

Click on "Start Creating SmartPass Links" to open the upload pop up

Step 3 - Add your CSV file to be imported

Drag and drop your CSV file or click to select a file.

This is the CSV file I am using.

We'll show you the first 5 entries to confirm it's the correct file. Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 4 - Map your data

Next we can map the data in your CSV to the PassKit fields on your Coupon.

Step 5 - Review and Submit

Review your data mapping is correct, then click "Submit"

An email will be sent to your registered email address with a Success CSV containing the SmartPass link for each Coupon, and an Error CSV with any uploads that failed.
